Gareth — your guide and the heart behind Pettijohn Outfitters. A fourth-generation Kansas farmer, Gareth was raised with dirt under his boots and a deep respect for the land. His passion for the outdoors runs generations deep, shaping not only the way he hunts but the way he lives.
An avid deer and duck hunter, Gareth has spent years studying the land, wildlife patterns, and conservation practices that make every hunt both successful and sustainable. His knowledge of deer behavior, land management, and the natural balance of the environment ensures that each hunt is not just a pursuit, but an experience rooted in respect for the land we call home.
With Gareth leading the way, you’re not just getting a guide — you’re getting someone who lives and breathes the outdoors and is eager to share that passion with every hunter who steps onto our ground.
Mason - a part-time guide with Pettijohn Outfitters whose strong background in law enforcement and firearms safety brings confidence and expertise to every hunt. As a certified Kansas hunter's education instructor, he prioritizes ethical practices and a secure environment for all clients. His deep passion for the outdoors drives everything he does, making him not only a knowledgeable guide, but someone who genuinely loves sharing the experience of the hunt with others.
